چکیده

In the future field calibration and testing will be fundamental parts of photogrammetric production lines. The complete field calibration/testing concerns geometric, spatial, radiometric and spectral properties of the systems, and it is a crucial supplement to the laboratory calibration. In this article a method for complete calibration/testing of digital photogrammetric sensors, based on the Sjökulla test field of Finnish Geodetic Institute, is briefly described and its use is demonstrated with digital large format photogrammetric camera DMC. The tested DMC proved to be a high quality photogrammetric sensor. However, the flight testing revealed some parts of the system and processing, which could be further improved to obtain even higher image quality. * Corresponding author

Radiometric stability assessment of an airborne photogrammetric sensor in a test field

Radiometric stability is a desired property of digital photogrammetric large-format sensors. This article presents a methodology for determining the radiometric stability of airborne imaging sensors in operational conditions in a test field and the results of stability evaluation of a large-format photogrammetric frame sensor DMC, from Intergraph. The imagery was collected in two days using nin...

The German Camera Evaluation Project - Results from the Geometry Group

The so-called German camera evaluation project was initiated by the German society of Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformation (DGPF) in order to allow for comprehensive empirical test on photogrammetric digital airborne camera systems. During this test, the digital camera systems DMC, Ultracam-X, ADS40 (2nd generation), JAS-150, Quattro DigiCAM and AIC-x1 were flown in the test site V...

Geometric Calibration of the Dmc: Method and Results

The Digital Mapping Camera (DMC) is the well-known new digital aerial camera system of Z/I Imaging. Analogue aerial cameras manufactured by Carl Zeiss have been successfully used around the world for many decades due to their outstanding photogrammetric performance. The DMC will continue this success and uses therefore an optical design based on CCD-matrix sensors to achieve high geometrical re...

Theoretical and Empirical Evaluation of Geometric Performance of Multi-head Large Format Photogrammetric Sensors

The geometric performance of large format multi-head photogrammetric sensors, Intergraph DMC and Vexcel UltraCamD, was evaluated theoretically and empirically. Theoretical point determination accuracy coefficients were derived by simulation; point determination accuracy estimates are obtained by multiplying these coefficients by measurement accuracy and scale number. Multihead images have speci...
